Domaine Nicolas Faure - Session #1

Our journey with Domaine Nicolas Faure began in 2019, when we first had the opportunity to taste these exceptional wines. Our encounter with Nicolas took place at La Paulee in Meursault, where we had the pleasure of meeting him. Together, we tasted the 2016 Aloxe-Corton and Bourgogne Aligote. This experience deepened our appreciation for Nicolas’ understated personality, which is reflected in the finesse of his wines, especially in their youth. His experiences at Domaine Jean-Louis Chave and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti seem to drive him to constantly create better wines. This connection to these estates indicates a wealth of experience that influences his winemaking. His wines are characterized by their ability to create a unique interpretation of terroirs while he tirelessly pursues the highest quality. With a touch of humor, he told us, “It would be nice to own a Grand Cru site.”
