Viticulture: Sustainable traditional farming. Hand-harvested Chardonnay sourced from parcels in Les Languettes in Aloxe-Corton and En Charlemagne in Pernand-Vergelesses. High-slope vineyards on thin, stony limestone and marl soils. The two sectors are harvested separately and vinified before blending.
Winemaking: Whole-bunch pressing with long, gentle cycles. Indigenous-yeast fermentation in 228- and 350-litre French oak barrels. Aged for 15–20 months without bâtonnage, with around 30–40% new oak depending on the vintage, then bottled without filtration.
Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, based in Chassagne-Montrachet, is a top Burgundy winemaker known for his exceptional Chardonnay wines. He emphasizes terroir, using sustainable farming and long elevage. Established in 2005, his domaine includes premier cru and grand cru vineyards, producing unfiltered, mineral-rich wines eagerly awaited each vintage.
