ABV: 13.5%
Bottle Size: 750ml
Blend: Approximately 50-55% Merlot, 40-45% Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc
Region: Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux, France
Viticulture: Certified organic farming with biodynamic practices. Hand-harvested from a contiguous vineyard on a gravel plateau. The deep, free-draining gravel forces roots beyond six metres and reflects heat into the canopy. Vines selected for the grand vin average around 50 years.
Winemaking: Whole berries are fermented at around 28°C in small wooden vats, with gentle extraction through manual punch-downs. Aged on the lees for around 18 months in 60% new barrels made in the estate’s own cooperage. Racked once before bottling.
Château Tronquoy-Lalande, located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, is an estate with origins in the 18th century. Covering 30 hectares, it's one of Saint-Estèphe's oldest vineyards. Acquired in 2006 by Martin and Olivier Bouygues, it's known for predominantly Merlot-based wines. Committed to eco-friendly viticulture, the château plans to achieve organic certification by 2024, blending tradition with modern, sustainable practices.
