Viticulture: Certified organic farming. Hand-harvested Nebbiolo from the estate’s 1.3-hectare holding in the Gallina MGA at Neive. Southwest-facing at 220–240 metres, with vines aged 25–50 years on calcareous clay soils containing a significant proportion of sand.
Winemaking: Destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in wooden vats. Aged for around 24 months in large neutral oak casks, followed by 6–12 months in bottle. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Piero Busso, based in Neive, Piedmont, specializes in traditionally crafted wines since 1953. Focused on minimal intervention, they produce Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Barbaresco wines such as San Stunet and Albesani Vigna Borgese. The winery emphasizes organic practices and offers varied wine experiences. Its Barbaresco wines are noted for their depth and have received high ratings across vintages.
