Viticulture: Certified organic farming. Hand-harvested Nebbiolo from the estate’s 1.6-hectare Bricco Mondino parcel in the Balluri area of Neive. Southwest-facing at 240 metres, with 40–50-year-old vines on calcareous, sandy soils.
Winemaking: Destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with maceration at 28–30°C. Aged for 18–24 months in large traditional oak casks, followed by at least six months in bottle. Unfined and unfiltered.
Piero Busso, based in Neive, Piedmont, specializes in traditionally crafted wines since 1953. Focused on minimal intervention, they produce Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Barbaresco wines such as San Stunet and Albesani Vigna Borgese. The winery emphasizes organic practices and offers varied wine experiences. Its Barbaresco wines are noted for their depth and have received high ratings across vintages.
