Domaine Roland Lavantureux
Winemaker Profile | Burgundy, France
Domaine Lavantureux, situated in Lignorelles, a picturesque village in northern Burgundy’s famed Chablis region, is today guided by brothers Arnaud and David Lavantureux, the third generation of a family deeply rooted in the appellation. Over decades, the estate has built a reputation for crafting precise, terroir-driven wines that showcase the unique personality of Chablis.
The Domaine’s holdings span across Village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru sites, all characterised by the Appellation’s distinctive Kimmeridgian limestone. Chablis’ geological makeup imparts its hallmark minerality, freshness and salinity in every bottle. The wines of Roland Lavantureux are very balanced expressions of Chardonnay, where every vintage is treated with real wisdom to deliver convincing and consistently enticing Chablis.

Intelligent decisions seem to be second nature for the team. Carefully integrated oak usage subtly enhances the structure of the wines whilst never sacrificing the signature freshness of Chablis. The result of their exceptionally intuitive and measured approach is a stable of balanced, complex wines with remarkable ageing potential, that deliver an uncompromised trace of their origin.
