Viticulture: Traditional farming. Riesling from the 1.2-hectare Dudenstein parcel on the steep Sommerberg hillside. Vines planted mainly in 1946 and 1953 on granite mixed with limestone and sandstone. Hand harvested.
Winemaking: Whole bunches are pressed and cold settled before spontaneous fermentation. Aged for around 10–12 months on the fine lees in very old Alsatian foudres. No new oak and no fining.
