Viticulture: Biodynamic farming, with certification underway. Two parcels totalling around 0.34 hectares, planted approximately 45 and 70 years ago. One parcel is clay-dominant, the other more limestone-rich. Hand harvested.
Winemaking: Grapes are either lightly crushed or directly pressed depending on ripeness. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for around 16 months in used French oak barrels.
Domaine Alex Moreau, based in Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy, has vineyards across 5.7 hectares in notable appellations like Chassagne- and Puligny-Montrachet. Alex Moreau, known for his work at Domaine Bernard Moreau, launched his own label in 2021.
Moreau employs sustainable viticulture, organic practices, and minimal intervention in the cellar to capture terroir. Using native yeasts, long pressings, and lees aging, he crafts expressive Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, including village, Premier, and Grand Cru wines. His wines, known for depth and balance, reflect Burgundy’s elegance and offer significant aging potential.
