Champagne Delamotte is one of the historic houses of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, founded in 1760 and rooted in the chalky grand cru villages of the Côte des Blancs. Its wines are shaped above all by Chardonnay, with a style that favours purity, freshness and restraint rather than obvious richness.

Delamotte’s identity is closely linked to Salon, the legendary single-vineyard, single-vintage Blanc de Blancs house with which it shares ownership, cellars and a deep attachment to Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Where Salon is produced only in exceptional years and in very small quantities, Delamotte offers a more regular and accessible expression of the same chalk-rich landscape.

The wines are admired for their clarity and classical balance: fine mousse, citrus detail, chalky tension and quiet elegance. In this sense, Delamotte is not simply a smaller shadow of Salon, but a serious Côte des Blancs house in its own right, offering a more open and approachable reading of the same historic terroir.
