Viticulture: Sustainable integrated farming with ISO 14001 certification. The 90-hectare vineyard lies on two deep Garonne-gravel plateaus near the Gironde estuary. Vines average 38 years and are planted at 8,300–10,000 vines per hectare. The estate is planted to 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, with the grand vin selected from the finest parcels.
Winemaking: Each parcel is vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats filled by gravity. Extraction is adapted to the vintage through gentle pump-overs, rack-and-return and occasional punch-downs. Aged for around 18 months in French oak, with roughly 70% new barrels.
Château Beychevelle, Bordeaux's iconic winery, boasts architectural beauty and superior wines from its 250-hectare Saint-Julien estate. Maintaining its historical charm after centuries of renovations, it's now under GMF's ownership, with French oenologists Jacques and Eric Boissenot ensuring its legacy of quality and elegance continues.
