ABV: 13%

Bottle Size: 750ml

Region: Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, France

Viticulture: HVE Level 3-certified sustainable farming. The 50-hectare vineyard is planted to 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Garonne-gravel slopes over a clay-rich gravel subsoil facing the Gironde. No herbicides since 2010. Traditional cultivation and hand harvesting.

Winemaking: Destemmed, optically sorted and gently crushed before gravity-fed, parcel-by-parcel fermentation in temperature-controlled wooden vats. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 7–10 days, followed by around three weeks of maceration. Aged for 16–18 months in French oak, with around 60% new barrels. Traditionally racked and fined with egg white before bottling.

Château Léoville-Barton, in the Saint Julien appellation of Bordeaux, has been owned by the Barton family since 1826. Classified as a 2nd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, it boasts a 116-acre vineyard predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon. Known for wines requiring extended aging, Léoville-Barton's rich history and consistent quality reflect the family's longstanding dedication to winemaking.
