Region: Marsannay Clos du Roy, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France

Viticulture: Northern sector of Marsannay near Chenôve, on light gravel over limestone and marl. Farmed with Garcia’s biodiversity-focused philosophy using cover crops, ploughing and minimal intervention. 

Winemaking: Fermented with 50% whole bunches using gentle extraction. Historically aged for 12 months in used French oak.

Pierre-Olivier Garcia, a winemaker in Burgundy, France, established his domaine in Nuits-St-Georges in 2016. He specializes in Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Aligoté, and is known for his deep understanding of the region's terroir. Garcia uses a unique, labor-intensive 'baie par baie' method, hand-selecting grapes for highly perfumed, detailed wines. His innovative approach has earned recognition and emulation in the Burgundy wine community​.
