ABV: 14.5%

Bottle Size: 750ml

Grape: Barbera

Region: Barbera d’Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Viticulture: Organically farmed west-facing Santa Lucia vineyard in La Morra, replanted in 2010 at 8,000 vines per hectare. No chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. Low yields of around 1 kg per vine. Hand harvested.

Winemaking: Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel for 15–30 days, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation in steel. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, around 12% new. Bottled unfiltered.

Founded by Cesare Bussolo, a La Morra native, the winery excels in traditional Piedmont wines, emphasizing finesse. Under Roberto Voerzio's mentorship since 2007, Bussolo's low-yield, environmentally respectful approach marks him as a rising Barolo star, crafting wines of balance and elegance.
