The 81-hectare vineyard is composed of 9,500 vines per hectare, with an average vine age of 50 years and several parcels planted in the late 1940s. Deep Günz gravel over limestone, cultivated with shallow soil work and harvested by hand in small crates.

Malolactic fermentation takes place in vat. 50% Aged for 16–18 months in new French oak, 35% in concrete amphorae and 15% in one-year-old barrels.

Château Pontet-Canet, a renowned Pauillac estate, has been under Tesseron family ownership since 1975. Spanning 120 hectares with 80 under vine, it primarily grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Known for its commitment to biodynamic and organic practices, Pontet-Canet produces approximately 20,000 cases of its grand vin and second wine annually. The estate emphasizes traditional winemaking methods, including hand harvesting and aging in oak barrels, combined with innovative techniques like using amphorae for aging.
