Viticulture: Family-owned parcel at the northern, Vosne-Romanée side of Nuits-Saint-Georges, on a mildly stony terroir. Farmed with Garcia’s biodiversity-focused philosophy using cover crops, ploughing and minimal intervention.
Winemaking: Fermented with indigenous yeasts using one-third whole bunches, one-third baie-par-baie berries and one-third destemmed fruit, with a short cold pre-fermentation and gentle extraction. Aged in mostly neutral French oak.
Pierre-Olivier Garcia, a winemaker in Burgundy, France, established his domaine in Nuits-St-Georges in 2016. He specializes in Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Aligoté, and is known for his deep understanding of the region's terroir. Garcia uses a unique, labor-intensive 'baie par baie' method, hand-selecting grapes for highly perfumed, detailed wines. His innovative approach has earned recognition and emulation in the Burgundy wine community.
