Viticulture: Tiny 0.0293-hectare family-owned parcel at the southern end of Les Herbues, on the Vosne-Romanée border. Light clay and sandy-silt soils over limestone-derived deposits. Organically farmed with a strong focus on biodiversity and soil health.
Winemaking: Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel using baie-par-baie berries alongside whole bunches and destemmed fruit, with gentle extraction and no sulphur during vinification. Aged for 12 months in 20% new oak.
Pierre-Olivier Garcia, a winemaker in Burgundy, France, established his domaine in Nuits-St-Georges in 2016. He specializes in Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Aligoté, and is known for his deep understanding of the region's terroir. Garcia uses a unique, labor-intensive 'baie par baie' method, hand-selecting grapes for highly perfumed, detailed wines. His innovative approach has earned recognition and emulation in the Burgundy wine community.
