ABV: 14.5%

Flaschengröße: 750 ml

Grape: Nebbiolo

Region: Barbaresco Asili, Piedmont, Italy

Viticulture: Selected fruit from the prestigious Asili vineyard in Barbaresco. Calcareous clay and marl soils with south- to south-west-facing slopes. Low yields and hand harvesting.

Winemaking: Destemmed grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats with extended skin contact. Aged for around 18–20 months in large French oak casks, with no perceptible new-oak influence, followed by bottle ageing.

Bruno Giacosa is one of the defining names of Piedmont, based in Neive and deeply associated with both Barbaresco and Barolo. A legendary figure in the Langhe, Giacosa became known for an uncompromising eye for great vineyards, traditional winemaking and wines of remarkable purity and longevity.

The estate’s most celebrated bottles, including Barbaresco and Barolo from sites such as Asili, Rabajà and Falletto, show Nebbiolo in a classical, unforced register: floral, savoury, precise and built to age. They are never simply powerful wines; their greatness lies in detail, balance and a quiet intensity that unfolds slowly over time. Today, under Bruna Giacosa, the domaine continues to stand as one of the great benchmarks for traditional Piedmont.
