Domaine Didier Dagueneau occupies a singular place in Pouilly-Fumé, having redefined what Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire could be. Didier Dagueneau brought an uncompromising, almost restless precision to the domaine, and since his death in 2008, his children Louis-Benjamin and Charlotte have continued that work with the same exacting spirit. The wines, from Silex to Pur Sang and Buisson Renard, are intensely detailed and long-lived, marked by concentration, tension and a mineral register that feels far removed from simple varietal expression. They remain among the most distinctive and ambitious white wines of the Loire.
