Viticulture: Certified organic farming. Hand-harvested Chardonnay from Tête du Clos, a small parcel in the upper, stonier section of Morgeot. Vines planted in 1954 on rocky clay-limestone soils near La Romanée and Les Embrazées.
Winemaking: Natural fermentation in oak barrels with minimal intervention and no bâtonnage. Aged for 12 months in barrel, followed by around six months in stainless steel. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Vincent Dancer, originally from Alsace, is a pioneering winemaker in Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy. Since 1996, he has developed a reputation for organic, terroir-focused wines, primarily Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, across his 5-hectare estate. Known for minimal intervention methods, Dancer utilizes native yeasts and eschews fining and filtration, reflecting his dedication to expressing the purest qualities of Burgundy's soil.
