Viticulture: 0.2-hectare parcel in the northern part of Nuits-Saint-Georges near the Vosne-Romanée border, with around 80-year-old vines. Organically or biodynamically farmed and hand harvested in small bins.
Winemaking: Fermented in stainless steel with one-third whole bunches, one-third baie-par-baie berries and one-third destemmed fruit. Aged for 12 months in used oak. Lightly filtered and unfined.
Pierre-Olivier Garcia, a winemaker in Burgundy, France, established his domaine in Nuits-St-Georges in 2016. He specializes in Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Aligoté, and is known for his deep understanding of the region's terroir. Garcia uses a unique, labor-intensive 'baie par baie' method, hand-selecting grapes for highly perfumed, detailed wines. His innovative approach has earned recognition and emulation in the Burgundy wine community.
