Viticulture: Certified organic 0.27-hectare parcel behind Nuits-Saint-Georges at the forest edge, with vines aged 45–50 and 65–70 years. Limestone cobbles over silty clay rich in iron oxides. Hand harvested with a strong focus on biodiversity and regenerative vineyard practices.
Winemaking: Fermented with indigenous yeasts using 70% baie-par-baie berries and 30% destemmed fruit, with gentle extraction and pressing. Aged for 12 months in used oak. No sulphur added until bottling.
Pierre-Olivier Garcia, a winemaker in Burgundy, France, established his domaine in Nuits-St-Georges in 2016. He specializes in Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Aligoté, and is known for his deep understanding of the region's terroir. Garcia uses a unique, labor-intensive 'baie par baie' method, hand-selecting grapes for highly perfumed, detailed wines. His innovative approach has earned recognition and emulation in the Burgundy wine community.
