Region: Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Bordeaux, France

Viticulture: Certified organic since 2014. The 19.5-hectare vineyard is planted to 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vines average around 50 years and grow on clay-limestone and clay-sand soils at the foot of the Saint-Émilion slope. 

Winemaking: Fermented in wooden vats for around 30–35 days, with extraction through pneumatic punch-downs. Aged on the lees for 15–16 months in French oak and vats, generally with 40–60% new barrels depending on the vintage. Bottled without fining.

Das Château La Gaffelière, ein Premier Grand Cru Classé-Weingut in Saint-Émilion, gehört seit den 1400er Jahren der Familie Malet-Roquefort. Das Anwesen erstreckt sich über 32 Hektar, wovon 22 Hektar dem 1er Grand Cru Classé gewidmet sind. Im Weinberg werden 75 % Merlot und 25 % Cabernet Franc angebaut. Bekannt für seine reiche Geschichte bis in die gallo-römische Zeit zurück, produziert das Weingut Weine, die für ihre Tiefe, Komplexität und ihr Potenzial zur Reifung bekannt sind.
