Viticulture: Organic farming. A 0.3-hectare south-facing parcel at around 420 metres, planted mainly in 1999 on sandy marl with fossilised seashells. Hand harvested.

Winemaking: Destemming varies by vintage. Spontaneous fermentation in open-top Austrian oak vats with gentle cap management and 30–50 days of maceration. Aged for 24 months in large Austrian oak and three months in concrete, with no new oak.

Azienda Agricola Lalù is a young estate in the Langhe, created by Lara and Luisa, two friends from Turin who came to wine through study, travel and hands-on work rather than family inheritance. Based in Serralunga d’Alba, they have quickly become associated with a fresh, precise and thoughtful reading of Piedmont.

Their work centres on Nebbiolo, with wines that favour clarity, finesse and vineyard character over force. There is a confidence to the style: floral, energetic and finely structured, with the seriousness of the Langhe but without unnecessary weight. Lalù feels very much like a domaine of its generation — small, focused and personal, yet already marked by a strong sense of place.
