Blend: 85–90% Merlot and 10–15% Cabernet Franc and Malbec

Region: Pomerol, Bordeaux, France

Viticulture: Traditional, soil-focused farming. Hand-harvested Merlot and Cabernet Franc from 4.5 hectares surrounding the church of Pomerol. Deep clay and gravel soils with natural slopes and a century-old drainage network. Around one quarter of the vines are more than 75 years old, including Cabernet Franc planted in the 1930s. 

Winemaking: Gently crushed grapes are separated by parcel and fermented in 14 small temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tank. Aged for 15–18 months in French oak, generally using 70–85% new barrels depending on the vintage.

Le Château L’Eglise Clinet, renommé à Pomerol, Bordeaux, se distingue par ses vieilles vignes, certaines datant des années 1930, et par une vinification méticuleuse. Sur des sols argilo-graveleux profonds, il met en valeur le Merlot et le Cabernet Franc, produisant des vins de Bordeaux complexes et aromatiques. Sa production limitée, de 1 000 à 1 500 caisses par an, témoigne d'un engagement envers la qualité plutôt que la quantité.
