Cesare Bussolo was born and raised in La Morra, at the heart of the Barolo region. After completing his oenological studies in the late 90s Bussolo worked at the Bovio winery in La Morra until 2006. After his time at Bovio, Bussolo joined the legendary Roberto Voerzio as an oenologist, a role he still occupies today.

There are wines you can buy by category. And there are wines you must buy by conviction. Nebbiolo belongs to the second group. Because Nebbiolo, as I know it, is rarely the Nebbiolo people expect when they reach for a “traditional Barolo”. Not worse — just different. Sometimes untouched by the movement that quietly rewired the region from within.
