Domaine Duroché has become one of the most exciting names in Gevrey-Chambertin, while remaining very much a family domaine rather than a domaine of grand gestures. Now in the hands of Pierre and Marianne Duroché, it works a focused set of old-vine parcels across Gevrey, from village lieux-dits to premiers crus and small holdings in grand cru sites.

The wines are known for their purity, energy and fine-boned expression of Gevrey. They have the structure and savoury depth one expects from the village, but without heaviness or excess extraction. Instead, Duroché tends to show Gevrey in a more precise, fragrant and transparent register: serious, quietly intense and increasingly recognised as one of the most compelling interpretations of the Côte de Nuits.
